Cardiva Medical, AVD Sign Hemostasis Products Distribution Deal

Cardiva Medical, a privately-held medical device company, has signed an agreement with Advanced Vascular Dynamics (AVD) to distribute several products used for postcatheterization femoral and radial artery hemostasis in the US.

The products included under the agreement are RadAR, a radial artery compression device, ComfortPress, an ergonomic hand-held manual compression assist device, ExpressAR, an external mobile compression device and Celox Vascular, a chitosan based hemostatic patch are used in cardiac catheterization labs, interventional radiology departments and intensive care units.

John McCurdy, vice president of sales at Cardiva Medical, said: "We are delighted to offer these unique products to our customers in the US. The products complement our Catalyst femoral artery closure system and will enable our customers to take advantage of economical alternatives for femoral and radial artery closure.”
